The Last Fall

Well, fall semester ended a couple weeks ago and we have now entered a new calendar year, but it's never too late for some inward and deep personal reflections, am I right? :)

The last month of December was a little bit crazy, with (too) many birthdays, exams, and farewells. It's been nice to be home and away from the crazy, but it has also given me time to appreciate what it's like to have such a viable and accessible community right at my fingertips. The individuals I've been able to foster new and/or deeper relationships with have really been the foundation of what has made this past semester so solid. heh. It's always so insightful but also kind of sad that it's when we feel like we are about to lose something that we begin to really take time to cherish it.

oh jeez.

This past and final fall semester of my time in college was actually quite lovely. There were of course times where I wanted to just be done with it all, but in the greater perspective, it was the first time in college where I genuinely wanted time to slow down. It became so much more real that savoring each moment and memory was becoming something I had to consciously and intentionally do.

One more semester till all of this free community and growth is not a part of my life anymore. Waow.
