Austin ft. J J & S

Friends from Bawston came to visit home for the past week and it was a sort of weird and different feeling showing people around this city than just being and living in it. 

Austin has such a special little place in my heart because of each place that has a memory attached to it, or because I know that the new places I will go to will be ones remembered because they will most likely be with people I love. 

Small little reflections I had this week:

Summer in Texas is not meant to be spent outside. For obvious reasons. But I think it hit me again this summer because I had been spoiled by San Francisco's oddly chilly summer.

Nature has an almost magical healing effect. Kind of clashes with the statement above, but took in some views this past week that had me step back and say wow. 

I love my family. So much. 

Home is home for a reason, I learned. People experience things so differently, which is why I've learned it's so important to really learn and listen to who a person is in order to genuinely love on them. Such an obvious formula, I know. But it's sometimes so hard when you love something so much to see another person not react entirely the same. 

ANYWAY. 

Glad to have had this week with these girls. Learned at least a little more about each of them and realized once again how fast time flies and that I am going back to college for the last time.
